Powered by Community: Coolgardie Expo Shines Through! 🙌
Despite a power blackout first thing in the morning, along with rainy and overcast weather, the Coolgardie Expo was an incredible success. It is fair to say the day threw a few unexpected challenges our way early on, but thankfully, the community spirit was stronger than the weather. Not even a blackout could dim the day's success! A great example of community spirit, teamwork and people coming together to make things happen.
A huge shout-out to Chuck from What the Chuck for jumping into action and truly saving the day by providing generators and lighting until the power came back on and for capturing photos throughout the event. When the power went out, Chuck powered up💡Watch this space for more photos from the day, captured by Chuck.
MEEDAC is also incredibly grateful to the amazing staff at the Coolgardie Recreation Centre, who went above and beyond to help however they could and to ensure the Expo stayed on track.
🌟A massive thank you to our generous event sponsors:
Construction Training Fund, Gold Fields Australia, Monadelphous, Shire of Coolgardie and Triple M. Your support played an important part in making the Coolgardie Expo possible, and we truly appreciate your contribution to an event that brings our community, employers, services and opportunities together.
A special mention as well to Kambalda Hotel and Nickel Bar for catering for the event and to our wonderful exhibitors for their patience, support and for being such an important part of the day.
To our incredible MEEDAC staff, your dedication, teamwork and willingness to step up when it mattered most did not go unnoticed. You should all be so proud of the way you helped make the day such a success.
We also want to thank the community for showing up and supporting the event despite the power outage and wet weather. Your support helped make the day what it was
The Expo welcomed 35 exhibitors, with approximately 225–250 people coming through the doors across the day - a fantastic result, especially in the circumstances
Proof that even with a few unexpected challenges, community spirit always shines through 💛

Well done, looks like another successful event🥳
